The Achilles' heel of all apple machines are the graphics card and the processor architecture, which should enable the high processing speed of video/3D sequences. The iMac is a graphic oriented working station and not prepared well for games and simulations. A few days ago I red about APPLE plan to come out this year with a new iMac and I hope it will fulfill my expectations. Currently I have an 2019 high-end iMac27. And yes, you have to dig deeper into your pocket but in the end we Mac users have always received excellent and reliable machines !Įvery 3 years I intend to buy a new iMac27 depending on the release of a new model.

Since I also use complex architecture design software on my Macs, I decided on the Ultra version, although the Max version has excellent results in the comparison test. The GPU performance should be mentioned here, which opens up a whole new perspective for XP users. My thoughts went towards an iMac with more GPU power and then came the really big surprise, M1 Mac Studio Max/Ultra with a completely new hardware concept that is superior even to the most powerful PC machines that can be purchased on the market today. Using my high-end iMac27 since 3 years I resonated about what will be my next Mac purchase. Apple was aiming graphic design not video and simulation application usage. Apple Macs have been until now not really suitable for applications like XP especially because luck of GPU power to manage XP sceneries with high fps and because of unsatisfactory solution for using multiple screens.
